Antique are prohibited to be taken out of the Kingdom of Bhutan as per Article 50-51 of the Movable Cultural Property Act of Bhutan 2005. Taking photographs and filming such antiques are also prohibited. Therefore, permission is required from the Department of Culture to export non-antique ritual objects, arts, and crafts products out of the country.
